Emergency Website Support

When something goes wrong with your website, you need it fixed fast. Blue Rock Digital provides emergency website support for businesses across the UK, covering WordPress issues, web hosting problems, and email hosting faults. Whether your site has gone down unexpectedly, something has broken that was working fine yesterday, or your email has stopped sending, we can help. Get in touch, and we will diagnose the issue and work to get you back up and running as quickly as possible.

Why Choose Blue Rock Digital for Emergency Support?

When your website breaks, you need someone who knows exactly what they are doing and can move quickly. With 17 years of WordPress experience, we have encountered and resolved virtually every type of website, hosting, and email issue there is. Here is what sets our emergency support apart.

We Know WordPress Inside Out

WordPress powers the majority of our clients’ websites, and we have been building, maintaining, and troubleshooting WordPress sites for 17 years. When something breaks, we know exactly where to look. From plugin conflicts and theme errors to database issues and failed updates, we have seen it all and resolved it all. You are not waiting for someone to Google your error message; we have almost certainly dealt with it before.

We Prioritise by Severity

Not every issue is the same. A site that has gone completely offline is more urgent than a page layout that has shifted slightly. Our response reflects that. The more serious the issue, the faster we move. In general, we aim to respond to all support requests within 24 hours, with critical issues such as complete outages treated as the highest priority.

We Cover Your Website, Hosting, and Email

Most agencies only deal with the website itself. We cover the full stack your business depends on: the website, the web hosting it runs on, and the email hosting your team uses every day. If something has broken and you are not sure whether it is a site problem, a server problem, or an email configuration issue, that is fine, contact us and we will work it out.

Honest About What Caused the Problem

If an issue was caused by something outside your control, a hosting fault, a software conflict, or an external vulnerability, we will let you know, and clients on a maintenance plan will receive support at no extra charge. If the issue was caused by changes made to the site, we will tell you clearly and provide a quote to fix it. No surprises, no hidden charges.

A Single Point of Contact Who Knows Your Site

You will not be passed between departments or asked to raise a ticket with someone who has never seen your website before. You deal directly with Blue Rock Digital, and if your site is one we built or maintain, we already know it inside out.

What We Can Help With

We provide emergency support across three core areas.

WordPress Website Issues

Something has broken on your website, and it was not like that before. Pages are throwing errors, the layout has collapsed, content is missing, or the site is returning a blank white screen. These are all issues we diagnose and resolve. Common causes include failed plugin updates, theme conflicts, corrupted files, and database errors.

Web Hosting Issues

Your website has gone offline, and you do not know why. Hosting outages, server configuration errors, and domain or DNS issues can all take a site down without warning. We work with your hosting provider to identify the fault and get your site back online. If you host your site with us, we manage this directly on your behalf.

Email Hosting Issues

Your email has stopped arriving, stopped sending, or is being flagged as spam. Email issues can be caused by DNS record problems, hosting configuration faults, or blacklisting. We diagnose the issue and work to resolve it, liaising with your hosting provider where needed.

How Emergency Support Works

We keep things simple, transparent, and focused on results. Here’s what to expect when you work with Blue Rock Digital.

1. Contact Us

Get in touch by phone or via our contact form. Describe the problem as clearly as you can, what is broken, when it started, and what changed before it went wrong, if anything. A screenshot or error message is always helpful.

2. We Diagnose the Issue

We investigate the fault promptly. For critical issues such as complete site outages, this is the immediate priority. For less severe issues, we aim to respond within 24 hours with an assessment of the problem.

3. We Confirm the Cause and Our Approach

Before we start any remedial work, we will let you know what we have found, what caused it, and how we plan to fix it. If there is a cost involved, we will confirm this with you first.

4. We Fix It

We carry out the necessary work to resolve the issue. For hosting and email faults, we liaise with the relevant provider directly where access is needed. For WordPress issues, we work directly on your site.

5. We Test and Confirm

Once the fix is in place, we test to make sure everything is working correctly and that the issue has been fully resolved, not just patched.

6. We Recommend Next Steps

Many emergencies are preventable. If a recurring issue or an underlying vulnerability was responsible for the problem, we will tell you what it is and what can be done to stop it from happening again. This might include moving to a managed website maintenance plan.

Emergency Support Costs

For clients on a Blue Rock Digital website maintenance plan, support for issues that were not caused by your own changes is included as part of your plan. There is no additional charge for diagnosing and resolving problems that fall within your plan’s scope.

For businesses not on a maintenance plan, emergency support is available on an ad-hoc basis. Costs depend on the nature and complexity of the issue. We will always confirm any charges with you before carrying out any paid work, so there are no surprises.

If an issue occurs as a result of changes you or a third party made to the website, this will be treated as chargeable work regardless of whether you hold a maintenance plan, and we will confirm the cost before proceeding.

If you find yourself needing emergency support regularly, a managed maintenance plan may be a more cost-effective solution. Plans start from £600 per year and include proactive monitoring, regular updates, and support. Find out more about our website maintenance plans.

Emergency Website Support FAQs

Common questions about our emergency website support service.

How quickly will you respond to an emergency support request?

We aim to respond to all support requests within 24 hours. For critical issues such as a completely offline website, we treat this as the highest priority and aim to respond as quickly as possible. The severity of the issue directly influences how fast we move.

Is emergency support included in a maintenance plan?

Yes, for issues that were not caused by changes you or a third party made to the site. If your site breaks due to a software conflict, hosting fault, or external issue, support is included in your Blue Rock Digital maintenance plan at no extra cost. If the issue was caused by changes to the site, this is treated as chargeable work.

What if I am not on a maintenance plan?

Emergency support is available on an ad-hoc basis for businesses without a maintenance plan. We will diagnose the issue and confirm any costs before carrying out the work. There are no surprise charges.

Do you fix websites built by other agencies?

Yes. If you have a WordPress website that was built by another agency or developer and something has gone wrong, we can help. We will need access to your site and hosting, and we will carry out a quick assessment before starting any work.

What information do I need to provide?

As much as you can. A description of what is wrong, when it started, what changed before the problem appeared, any error messages you are seeing, and a screenshot if possible. The more detail you provide, the faster we can diagnose the issue.

Can you help with email problems?

Yes. We cover email hosting issues, including email that has stopped sending or receiving, messages going to spam, and email configuration faults. We will need to know who your email hosting is with, and access to the relevant DNS settings will usually be required.

What if the problem is with my hosting, not my website?

We cover hosting issues as well as website issues. If your site is offline and you are not sure whether it is a website problem or a hosting problem, contact us, and we will work it out. If you host your site with us, we manage this directly on your behalf.

How is emergency support different from a maintenance plan?

A maintenance plan is proactive; regular updates, monitoring, and checks that prevent problems from occurring in the first place. Emergency support is reactive, meaning it is what you need when something has already gone wrong. The two work well together: maintenance clients experience fewer emergencies, and when issues do arise, support is included in their plan.
